The Random Dilettante

This is what happens when I have too much coffee/lattes….I get chatty, and just start posting entries like an insane person. You know all those days where there was nothing? Yep..didn’t have any coffee. Maybe it’s a hormonal thing, but I don’t feel normal unless I’ve had a couple cups of java. But even then I get a little odd…because I won’t shut up . If I hadn’t had any coffee today, my introverted, pitiful ass wouldn’t be writing in here. I wouldn’t have went shopping and gotten some new shoes (yay!), and I wouldn’t have said hi to my neighbor…it goes on.

Anyway…I am so hooked on Audioslave right now. If anyone can download it or hear it on a player somehow, you should look up “Shadow On the Sun”…I love that song so much…I’d marry it if I could. It speaks too me & for me. Yep yep.

Isn’t this what people pretty much take anyway? Some pill that puts them in la-la land and thwarts their reality just enough to make life bearable? Drug companies love the fact that we are such escapist’s too. I mean really…..you wanna get rich and make some serious money, get a job trying to fix up all the fucked up people…there’s and endless sea of us. So many that, fucked up people are probably fixing fucked up people. Actually, there’s no “probably” I’m sure there are. Sigh..life is so twisted.

I’m on a cloud, but not cloud 9…much much higher. It’s an evil fluffy black cloud though..one that escaped from a horrible storm and swept me away.

So I’m just up here floating. Writing cryptically…not really wanting to share anything.

This weekend was cool, I went to a pool party and did my standard loner drinking in the corner thing. Thats ideal for me though, so like I said…cool weekend.

At one point my wiener dog jumped off a raft, and proceeded to sink. Who said all dogs could swim? I don’t think that applies if they are panicking. Anyway…I saw this, freaked out for 2 seconds, and dove my hands in to get him. Would you believe that my digital camera was attached to my wrist?!?! Yeah..

When I realized that, I was like f*ck the dog…I need to get my camera out of the water. Heh. Well anyway. It kind of works..but doesn’t. Pics are a little blurry and foggy. I’m giving it time to recuperate..you know…a little R&R. I’ll keep you updated, don’t worry.

I didn’t even have 2 glasses of wine down when I did it either. I’m such a doof.

Tomorrow the hubby leaves for Fort Polk to go play Army. I see will him again around the 1st of September. Yay..blahh…whatever.

It’s dark here. Someone needs to find the light switch.

* Even more reason to dislike the monkey in charge; he interfered with the first 10 min of Big Brother, just to explain his nomination of John Roberts Jr. Priorities people! what’s more important? My recap of Saturdays episode of Big Brother…That’s what..Duh.

* My mother needs to go in the real crazy house. Not a semi one like she is in now, she needs to go in one with straight jackets and the whole nine yards. Keep her doped up and talking about wall fairies or something. She’s fucking out of her mind. I’m tired of it and I want to say so much worse but I’m a believer in karma and I don’t want to stir up any worse than I already have by the aforementioned. Just know she is an enigma that just possibly doesn’t need to be solved or dealt with, but put away and forgotten. Damn it..the karma Glenda..I’m am so fucked now. I would never forget her though..she would never let me either…that earn me any points back??

* Ok, listen up. This is my buddy Rob. While I was stressing this past week, this joker was out living the good life. He’s the man and he knows it..oh yeah..thats the way it should be. He was in Vegas in this pic, with some model all over his jock. Jealous huh? Yeah me too. He deserves it though. He’s a Major in the Army and has been deployed to Iraq for a year, he was just home for a few weeks of R&R. He left today for another 6 months of Iraq.

Hmmm……you know how radio stations and churches get together to send “care packages” to all the soldiers deployed to Iraq? They should stop…and all available young hotties should offer up their services of email, chatting, and web camming….give these soldiers what they really want. Eye candy Hehe. Feeling generous? Young? Hot? Get in touch with me…we’ll start a whole new campaign to support the troops.

* Happy Birthday to my little monster. At least she’s a cute monster. Audrey turned 2 this Monday….yay. I think that was a sarcastic “yay” though, because as cute as it is to see them grow up and learn new things…it only means they are getting more and more deviant right along with it. That’s when we get into the fun stuff. She’s graduated from her crib too. We only have to chase her back in bed 3 times before she gets the point..it could be worse.

The pic is her Monday morning. She was actually clapping and saying “Yayyy”…for her new kitchen set…but she looks more like Vanna White..haha.

I logged on AOL this morning and saw the news. It’s all very sad.

I get this…I really do. The reasoning behind it. You don’t want those with the black hats to win or see that they have affected you. It’s pride more than anything. Our societies will and do change as a result of these attacks though, they can deny it all they want, but it’s truly irrefutable. The terrorists know this, and it’s why they will keep doing it. Bush simply calls it “evil,” and I will agree it is a horrible thing, but I don’t think it’s necessarily “evil.” They are at war, and it’s easy for us to say “fight fair,” but why would they? They would surely lose; they are out manned and out powered, so they fight by the means necessary. It’s harsh common sense…and a jagged bite of reality.

The thing that makes this situation worse, is if it affects the war in Iraq and it’s length or current force. We need to finish stabilizing Iraq, and get the hell out. No one will win in this game, it’s all a matter getting out while your “ahead”. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of Al Quaida’s goals for these attacks were to keep troops abroad longer…than not only are they hitting us randomly throughout or own land, they are also killing us on their soil…bonus. Many say “I’d rather fight the war on their soil then mine” but forget to realize that so far this hasn’t been possible. They are still fighting on our soil and will continue to do so. Maybe with all the troops home, we can focus more on “homeland security”…according to the officials…it’s the answer to our problems..so why not put all our resourced in to it?

Blah…this has put a damper on my excitement and much anticipated start of “Big Brother 6″ on CBS tonight. I love how trashy that show can get, it’s one of the only shows I will be watching this summer….AND it’s on for 3 whole nights a week…can’t beat that.

Anyway…my sincere sympathy goes out to all victims and familes & friends of victims of the blast in London…you’re in my thoughts and my heart.
